シンガポールでは、2025年1～３月期に新規登録された乗用車のうち約４割がバッテリー式電気自動車（ＢＥＶ）となった。
陸上交通庁（ＬＴＡ）によると25年１～３月期の乗用車の新規登録台数は全体で１万914台。うち4,383台がＢＥＶで、全体の40.2％を占めた。
メーカー別に見ると、ＢＥＶの登録台数が最も多かったのは中国のＥＶ最大手の比亜迪（ＢＹＤ）で2,183台。ＢＥＶ全体のほぼ半数を同社の車両が占めた。
ＢＥＶではこのほか、２位の米ＥＶ大手のテスラが413台、３位の独ＢＭＷが361台で続いた。前年７月にシンガポール市場に参入した中国の新興ＥＶメーカー広州小鵬汽車科技（Xpeng＝シャオペン）は190台で４位となり、急速に順位を上げている。
