フィリピンの大手財閥ＳＭグループ傘下の不動産開発・運営大手ＳＭプライム・ホールディングス（ＨＤ）は14日、３月末までに全国131カ所に電気自動車（ＥＶ）の充電設備を設置したと発表した。年内に50カ所以上に追加設置する計画だ。
ジェフリー・リム社長は、同社が展開する商業施設や住宅へのＥＶ充電設備の設置を通じて、政府が進めるＥＶ普及を側面支援する考えを強調した。
エネルギー省は、国内の乗用車市場におけるＥＶのシェアを2030年までに25％、40年までに50％に引き上げる目標の達成に向け、40年までに十分な数の充電設備を全国に普及させることを目指している。
