カンボジア宝石・宝飾品取引業者協会（ＣＧＪＴＡ）が首都プノンペンのピッチ島コンベンション＆エキシビションセンターで15～18日に開催した「第16回カンボジア国際宝石・宝飾品フェア」で、宝石・宝飾品の貿易額を公表した。
24年通期の宝石・宝飾品の貿易額は前年比30％減の７億8,800万米ドルだったが、回復に向けた努力と長期的な開発戦略により、当局者は引き続き動向を楽観視していると説明した。
ＣＧＪＴＡは、宝石・宝飾品業界の振興のため、貿易フェアの開催や、各国の業界団体と協力する旨の覚書の交換などを進めており、カンボジア政府も支援している。
