タイ政府は12日の閣議で、2025年６月２日（月）、８月11日（月）、26年１月２日（金）を特別公休日にすることを承認した。連休を増やして観光促進につなげる目的。
６月３日（火）がスティダー王妃誕生日の公休日であることから、６月２日を特別公休日とすることで、５月31日（土）から６月３日にかけて４連休となる。
また、８月12日がシリキット王太后誕生日（母の日、火）の公休日のため、８月11日を特別公休日とすることで、８月９日（土）から12日にかけて４連休となる。
年末年始は、25年12月31日（水）が大みそか、26年１月１日（木）が元日の公休日であり、26年１月２日を特別公休日にすることで、25年12月31日から26年１月４日（日）にかけての５連休となる。
今回の閣議は、ペートンタン首相が外遊中のため、プムタム副首相兼国防相が議長を務めた。
