香港政府路政署は14日、新界地区・元朗の洪水橋と中国本土広東省深センの前海地区との間で建設を計画している鉄道「港深西部鉄路」の香港区間について、詳細情報と関心表明募集に関する説明会を開催すると発表した。広東省の深センと広州、香港で、それぞれ７月25日、８月１日、７日に行う。
同事業に関心がある請負業者、運営業者、コンサルタント、鉄道システム供給業者、鉄道車両メーカーなどを対象に説明会への参加を募る。参加の申し込みは18日まで。
政府は2027年までに入札の準備を整え、34年までに建設工事を完了させて、35年に開通させることを目指している。
