サーモンの養殖や水産品の加工・販売を手がけるオカムラ食品工業（青森市）は25日、香港に海外卸売事業の子会社を設立すると発表した。
資本金は1,500万HKドル（約２億8,700万円）で同社が全額を出資する。今年11月に設立し、来年１月に営業を開始する予定。海外卸売事業としてはシンガポール、マレーシア、台湾、タイ、ベトナムに続く６番目の拠点となる。
拠点設置を機に香港市場へ本格進出するほか、将来はサーモンの一大消費地である中国本土への進出も狙う。
同社は川上（養殖）から川下（販売）までの垂直統合型ビジネスモデルで事業を展開。今年２月に公表した中期経営目標では、海外卸売事業の拡大を成長エンジンの一つに掲げていた。
