タイ国家警察庁は27日、６月１日からバイク乗車時のヘルメット未着用に2,000バーツ（約8,800円）以下の罰金を科すと発表した。
道路交通法に基づき、いかなる場合でもヘルメットの着用が義務付けられる。運転手だけでなくバイクタクシーの乗客も対象で、双方が未着用の場合は倍額が科せられることになる。
